Parliament’s monsoon session begins July 19, PM Modi asks ministers to be prepared

The Prime Minister emphasised on the need of awareness in regards of the COVID-19 vaccination to prevent the people from the third wave of the pandemic, and had also asked the ministers to deliver the Central governments welfare schemes run in their departments.

The Monsoon Session of the Parliament this year would commence from July 19. The session would conclude by August 13, would have over 20 sittings. However, the Monsoon Session usually begins in the third week of July and ends after August 15.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had asked all the members of his council of ministers to bring out the attempts of the opposition parties from preventing India’s battle against the COVID-19 pandemic. The ministers have already been instructed by the PM for the Monsoon Session of the Parliament and had been asked to come prepared and ensure that they were able to prove any false claims made by the Opposition in regards of the management of the pandemic.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla had also said that all preparations had been made for the Monsoon Session of the Parliament, and that the secretariat employees and the 445 members of the Parliament had gotten themselves inoculated. He added that they had been trying to increase the productivity within the Parliament.

COVID-19 protocols would be followed within the Parliament complex during the Monsoon session, as well as the journalists covering the Lok Sabha would be offered vaccinations facility by the secretariat.
