‘Making you CM was my mistake’: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar gets angry at Ex CM Jitan Ram Manjhi in assembly

During the discussion on the bill increasing the reservation limit, CM Nitish Kumar got angry at Jitan Ram Manjhi and said that he has no sense.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday (9 November) got angry at Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) President Jitan Ram Manjhi in the state assembly and said: “It was foolish of me to make him the Chief Minister. He has no sense. He keeps talking nonsense like this.”

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar got angry on former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi during his reply to the discussion on the bill increasing the reservation limit. The surprising thing was that Tejashwi Yadav, who was sitting next to him in the assembly, did not try to stop him. In such a situation, the politics of Bihar has once again heated up regarding the behaviour of Nitish Kumar.

Jitan Ram Manjhi comes from Dalit community. For the upcoming Lok Sabha, all the parties are busy wooing the Dalit voters in the state. At the same time, BJP is cornering Nitish Kumar over the misbehaviour with Manjhi. BJP is calling it an insult to Dalits.

Recently, in the caste survey conducted by the Bihar government, the population of Dalit community is more than 2.5 crores, which is more than 19 percent of the total population. After this report, the Nitish government decided to increase the reservation of Scheduled Caste from 16 percent to 20 percent and introduced a bill in the Assembly regarding this, which was passed unanimously.

In the name of increasing the limit of reservation, Nitish Kumar may have played a trick to woo the Dalit community, but if his attitude remains like this then his image among the voters of the Dalit community may be affected.

Manjhi also surrounded Nitish

Meanwhile, Hindustan Awam Morcha President Manjhi said, “The nonsense that Nitish Kumar was speaking, I was surprised if he is the same Nitish Kumar, who was few days back. I think he has lost his mental balance.”

When Nitish Kumar left the post of CM after the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, he made Jitan Ram Manjhi the CM.

Manjhi became Chief Minister in 2014

Let us tell you that in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, JDU, which contested separately from BJP, was limited to only 2 seats. After which the then Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, taking moral responsibility of the defeat, resigned from his post and made Jitan Ram Manjhi the Chief Minister. But then after 9 months, Nitish Kumar started getting attracted towards the chair and withdrew his support from Manjhi. Due to which Manjhi had to resign.
