Congress Reshuffle: Many changes have been made in the Congress organization. Avinash Pandey has been made in-charge of UP Congress. At the same time, some in-charges were retained while some were not given the responsibility. Some leaders have also been shown the way out.

After the defeat in the recent assembly elections, a reshuffle is going on in the Congress organization. Recently, the President of Madhya Pradesh Congress was changed. At the same time, now Congress has made an organizational reshuffle in its central team. Congress has relieved Priyanka Gandhi Vadra from the post of AICC in-charge of UP Congress. In his place, Avinash Pandey has been given this responsibility.

According to the statement issued by Congress, Priyanka Gandhi will handle the work of the organization without any portfolio. Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal has given information about these appointments. He said that these appointments are effective with immediate effect. Along with this, Sachin Pilot has been made in-charge of Chhattisgarh by appointing him as General Secretary in-charge. At the same time, Ramesh Chenithalla was appointed in-charge of Maharashtra Congress.

They were relieved of responsibility

Bhakta Charandas of Chhattisgarh has been removed from the post of in-charge of Bihar and in his place Mohan Prakash has been made in-charge there. Apart from these, Tariq Anwar, Harish Chaudhary, Manish Chatrath and Rajni Patil have been relieved of responsibility. His contribution has been appreciated in the press note issued by Congress.

Responsibility of some general secretaries remains same

The party has retained the responsibility of some general secretaries. KC Venugopal will remain the general secretary of the organization. Randeep Surjewala has been retained as Karnataka, Rajeev Shukla as Himachal and Sukhjinder Randhawa as Rajasthan. Ajay Maken has been made the treasurer. Along with him, Milind Deora and Vijay Inder Singla have been given the responsibility of co-treasurers. Jairam Ramesh’s charge of communications will remain intact.

Responsibilities of some leaders changed and some were increased 

Mukul Wasnik has been given the charge of Gujarat and Manikrao Thackeray has been given the charge of Goa. Jitendra Singh has been given additional charge of Madhya Pradesh along with Assam. Deepak Babaria has been given additional charge of Haryana along with Delhi. Kumari Shailaja has been given additional charge of Uttarakhand and Deepa Das Munshi of Kerala, Lakshadweep and Telangana.

Nasir Hussain made head of Kharge’s office

Congress has handed over the charge of head of the office of National President Mallikarjun Kharge to Rajya Sabha MP Dr Nasir Hussain. At the same time, Pranab Jha has been given the responsibility as Communication Secretary.

The party has appointed 12 general secretaries as well as 11 state in-charges. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has handed over organizational posts to all the people with immediate effect.
