After taking oath as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav on Wednesday took his first major decision and ordered a ban on the use of loudspeakers in religious and public places. Earlier in the day, BJP MLA from Ujjain South Mohan Yadav took oath as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. After becoming the Chief Minister, the CM took the first decision to ban the use of loudspeakers at religious places.
The 58-year-old leader was administered the oath of office by Governor Mangubhai Patel at the Lal Parade Ground in the state capital Bhopal. The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh also had darshan of Mahakal in Ujjain on Wednesday.
The order dated December 13, 2023, states that efforts will be made to remove loudspeakers from temples and mosques after proper communication and coordination with religious leaders. A list of religious places which do not follow the rules will be prepared.

The order further states that unnecessary use of loudspeakers leads to noise pollution, which reduces human ability to concentrate on work and its use during late night disturbs people’s sleep. Therefore, efforts are being made to ensure that loudspeakers or DJs are not misused.
This is the first order issued by the new MP CM Mohan Yadav as soon as he took charge. It has been said that loudspeakers playing loudly in religious or public places will be removed. It has been said that the volume of loud loudspeakers will be reduced. This order has been issued by the Home Department of Madhya Pradesh.
Before this, Dr. Mohan Yadav was on the post of Education Minister in Shivraj government. He had announced to make the Hindu epic ‘Shri Ramcharitmanas’ an optional subject in colleges in 2021. Mohan Yadav is considered a staunch supporter of Hindutva.
