Congress leader and Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi addressed the inaugural ceremony of 10th anniversary celebration of Suprabhatam Daily. While addressing the event, Congress MP recalled his Bharat Jodo Yatra and also attacked the RSS.
Congratulating the publication on its anniversary, Rahul Gandhi said: “I congratulate the publication on 10 years of good work. I know that it was originally inaugurated in 2014 by the Oommen Chandy ji and Thangal ji also suggested that I come and inaugurate this function.”
Rahul Gandhi, further, said that we’re living in a world where it is very easy to spread lies.
“We all know that the foundation of a just society is truth. Lies cannot be used to build a harmonious society. Eventually, the truth comes out!,” said Rahul Gandhi.
“The ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ showed me that regardless of what the corporate media says, the truth is that Indians love each other and are perfectly happy living with each other. The slogan ‘Nafrat Ke Bazaar Mein Mohabbat Ki Dukaan’ naturally emerged from the Yatra. It captured the entire spirit of the Yatra!,” he added.
Remembering his conversation during the Yatra, Rahul Gandhi said: “During the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, a man suddenly came right in front of me. After 2 failed attempts, he managed to get past the security people. He pointed at me and said, “I know what you’re doing. I know what you’re doing.” I said, “What am I doing?” He said, “Opening a shop of love in the market of hate.”
Rahul Gandhi also attacked the RSS in his address.
“If somebody asks me about my views on development, I would say it means opening shops of love in the market of hate. If you go to the most rabid RSS person and say “Nafrat Ke Bazaar Mein Mohabbat Ki Dukaan Khol Raha Hun”, he cannot answer you. It works for every community, every religion, and every language because it is based on a true sentiment,” he said.
