On Wednesday, March 24, Union Home Minister and top most BJP leader Amit Shah addressed a public rally in Chathannoor, Kerala ahead legislative elections in the state. While addressing the rally, the Union Minister lashed out the Communist government in the states on various issues including Sabrimala temple.
Shah said while addressing the rally, “BJP believes that governments should not intervene in issues related to temples. It should be left on devotees. Communist party cadres have mistreated Sabrimala bhakts, dressed in police attire”.
Shah also blamed the state government for making Kerala a “hub of corruption”. He said, “There are was a time when Kerala was considered as the role model of tourism & development. It was known as the most educated and peace-loving state. LDF and UDF governments have made Kerala a hub of corruption”.
Amit Shah also claimed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent visit to Kerala as ‘picnic’. He asked, “The people of Kerala should ask him that here, they’re fighting against the Communists but in Bengal, they’re in arms with the same Communists. What sort of a party is this?”.
Election for Kerala legislation is scheduled to be done in single phase on April 6, 2021. The Poll result will be announced on May 2, 2021.
