Jan Adhikari Party Chief Pappu Yadav gets arrested by Patna police; He has been convicted of violating lockdown norms

Patna Police, on Tuesday morning, took into custody Rajiv Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav claiming that he has violated lockdown norms. Though, Jan Adhikari Party Chief says that the arrest is politically motivated.

Jan Adhikari Party chief Rajiv Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, on Tuesday, gets arrested by police in Patna, Bihar. Well, according to the police, Yadav has been taken into custody for violating lockdown norms.

“He has been arrested for violation of lockdown. He was moving around in a vehicle without a permit. Legal action is being taken”, says Suresh Prasad, DSP town, as quoted by ANI.

While on the other hand, Jan Adhikari Chief calls the arrest unfair. He says arrest doesn’t take place for violating lockdown rules.

Hitting back at the police and the Bihar government, Pappu Yadav says, “They’ll tell you why I have been arrested. I’ve helped every family for 1.5 months. I was at it despite coming out of an operation. The government and Nitish babu (a reference to the CM Nitish Kumar) will know what this is. An arrest doesn’t take place for violation of lockdown”, as per the reports of ANI.

Additionally, immediately after the arrest of Pappu Yadav, who’s also a former parliamentarian, there has been an outcry on the social media platforms for the release of his.

Well, earlier, on the 4th of May, another case was filed against Yadav in Gaya for violation of Covid-19 norms. In addition to this, he had barged into a district hospital with his comrades demanding to inspect the hospital facilities for Covid patients, after the incident, he was also charged with the Disaster Management Act.

Though, Yadav has gathered appreciation from lots of needy families during the Covid-19 pandemic. He has received praise for assisting the families to reach the hospitals in order to get immediate Covid treatment.
