Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday targeted Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) and accused him of meeting the rich and mafia rather than the people. He addressed a rally in poll bound Medak.
“Rahul Gandhi ji did ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. In this journey he met lakhs of people. But here KCR has no time to meet people, he does not meet the poor. KCR only meets land mafia-sand mafia, wine mafia-mine mafia,” said Kharge.

Attacking CM KCR, Congress chief Kharge said: “KCR says what did Indira Amma do for the country? If Indira Amma had not been there, banks would not have been nationalized, kings and emperors would have continued to get salaries, the poor of the country would not have got lakhs of acres of land.”
Further attacking CM KCR, Kharge accused corruption in ORR Project, Dharani Portal and others. “KCR and his family looted Telangana. KCR stole public money in projects like ORR Project, Dharani Portal, Kaleshwaram. Telangana was a surplus state in 2014, but today Telangana has a debt of Rs 5.60 lakh crore,” he said.
“Before becoming CM, KCR told you that we will make Dalit Chief Minister, you vote for us. Then he said that a Dalit Chief Minister cannot run this state and became the Chief Minister himself,” said Kharge.

Schemes like scholarship for children of the state, assistance to farmers, Dalit Bandhu Yojana, widow pension, old age pension have been closed due to lack of funds. Now this government does not have money to give to the public.”
Well, the assembly elections in Telangana are scheduled to take place on November 30, followed by the counting of votes and declaration of results on December 3.
