As many as 587 nominations were filed for assembly elections in Goa by Friday, the last day of nomination. The total nominations filed by candidates contesting the State Legislative Assembly Election for Goa 2022 are 587, an official statement said. The scrutiny of the nominations would be done on January 29, 2022, and the last date of withdrawal of candidature would be on January 31, 2022. The date of the Poll is February 14, 2022. The counting of votes will be on March 10, 2022. On the first day of nominations on January 21, 2022, a total of three candidates had filed their nominations. On the second day, 18 candidates filed their nominations, on January 25, 50 candidates filed and on January 27, 262 filed in one day and on the final day of nomination a total of 254 filed their nominations.
