“Eventbaazi”: Priyanka Gandhi’s fresh attack on BJP over women’s reservation at Damoh, Madhya Pradesh

Congress General Secretary also alleged that the BJP government of Madhya Pradesh gave only 21 jobs in last 3 years.

On Saturday, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra visited poll-bound state Madhya Prdaesh and addressed a public meeting in Damoh. While addressing the public, Priyanka Gandhi attacked Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over Women’s Reservation Bill and said that Congress party gave reservation to women.

“Modi government is just doing ‘eventbaazi’ regarding women’s reservation. They are misleading the country that we have given reservation to women. But the truth is that women’s reservation will not be implemented in the coming 10 years. Whereas Congress Party gave reservation to women, hence today women are represented in every village,” said Priyanka Gandhi.

“Whenever we talk about caste census, people of BJP become silent,” added Priyanka Gandhi.

Priyanka Gandhi also attacked BJP over Old Pension Scheme (OPS) issue by saying that government can waive off loans of thousand crores to industrialists but can’t bring OPS. “Today, employees are demanding old pension. You have served the country all your life, hence pension becomes your right. But Modi government says – there is no money for this. If there is no money, then where does the money come from to forgive thousands of crores of rupees of industrialists like Adani?,” asked Priyanka Gandhi in Damoh.

Congress General Secretary also alleged that the BJP government of Madhya Pradesh gave only 21 jobs in last 3 years. “There are very few employment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh, hence there is a lot of migration happening here,” said Priyanka Gandhi.

“Congress General Secretary @priyankagandhi addressed a huge public meeting in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh. The BJP government of Madhya Pradesh has made a record of 250 scams in its tenure of 225 months. They have done injustice to the women, farmers, Dalits and tribals of the state and have tortured everyone. Therefore, now the public has decided to bring Congress to Madhya Pradesh,” wrote the official handle of Congress party on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

Madhya Pradesh to vote on all 230 assembly seats in a single phase on November 17, while the counting of votes and declaration of results will be done on December 3.
