‘Didi, your time is up!’: Amit Shah lashes out at Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee in Dharmatala

Speaking on the CAA, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that is the law of the country and no one can stop it.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah lashed out at State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at a public rally in Dharmatala, Kolkata, West Bengal on Wednesday (November 29).

Amit Shah said, “Can a state where there is so much infiltration ever develop? That is why Mamata Banerjee is opposing CAA. Mamta Didi, CAA is the law of the country and no one can stop it. We will continue to implement it. The Hindu sisters and brothers coming from there have as much right on this country as you and I have.”

“Didi (Mamata Banerjee) must note that she can dismiss our leader from the Legislative Assembly, but cannot silence the people of Bengal! The people of Bengal are saying, ‘Didi, Aapka Samay Samaapt Ho Chuka Hai’! (Didi, your time is up!),” said Amit Shah.

Further attacking the left front, Amit Shah said: “Communists ruled Bengal for 27 years and then Mamata Banerjee’s government was formed. Both of them together ruined Bengal. In the entire country, election violence is highest in Bengal. Mamata Banerjee has not been able to stop infiltration in Bengal. Voter cards and Aadhar cards are being distributed openly to infiltrators in the state and Mamata Banerjee is sitting silent.”

Amit Shah also claimed that BJP will form government in Bengal with two-third majority in the 2026 assembly elections.

“BJP is going to form the government in Bengal with two-third majority in the 2026 elections. But before that, you all have to ensure that the BJP wins with flying colours in 2024 Lok Sabha Elections! I sincerely request to you all to make PM Modi Ji the Prime Minister again! Bless him with such number of votes that following his oath-taking ceremony, he ends up saying that he became the Prime Minister due to Bengal!,” said Shah.
