“You had elected Congress government in Madhya Pradesh 5 years ago, but Modi-Shivraj Singh-Amit Shah had stolen your elected government by buying MLAs. BJP leaders had worked to crush your decision and the voice of your heart. Cheated the farmers, youth and small traders of the state. BJP had said that Congress will not be able to do this, but we had waved off the loans of farmers last time,” said Rahul Gandhi lashing out Shivraj’s government in the state.

Commenting on the unemployment, Rahul Gandhi said: “In Madhya Pradesh, you will ask the youth – what do you do? His answer is- Nothing. Modi ji says that we have opened 500 factories in Madhya Pradesh, but not a single factory opened by Modi ji is visible. Just now I came to know that Rs 1,700 crore was sent for the development of your city, but not a single rupee has reached you. All the money went into the pockets of corrupt BJP ministers.”

Boosting over his government in Chhattisgarh, Rahul Gandhi said, “We told the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh that – you will put that much money in the pockets of the public as much as the BJP has looted from the public. We had promised to give right price for paddy in Chhattisgarh. Today, paddy is available at Rs 2800/quintal and after the elections it will be available at Rs 3200/quintal.”

Rahul Gandhi also attacked PM Modi over his alleged relations with Gautam Adani by saying: “If the farmers and labourers of Madhya Pradesh are not strong, it means India is weak. Our aim is to put money in the pockets of the poor. Whereas BJP’s aim is to give your money to billionaires and big contractors like Adani.”

2023 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly election is scheduled to be held on 17 November 2023 to elect all 230 members of the state’s Legislative Assembly.
