‘BJP snatch money from poor’: Priyanka Gandhi attacks BJP in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh

Priyanka Gandhi also lashed out to BJP over the caste-based census issue and alleged that BJP maintains silence on this issue.

On Monday, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra addressed a public rally in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, ahead of the approaching Assembly election in the state.

Attacking the BJP government in the state and the centre, Priyanka Gandhi said: “The BJP government is snatching the money from the poor and farmers and giving it to big industrialists. At the same time, the Congress government of Chhattisgarh is putting the people’s money back in their pockets. The Congress government has done a lot of work to take Chhattisgarh forward and has brought prosperity in the lives of the people.”

Priyanka Gandhi also lashed out to BJP over the caste-based census issue and alleged that BJP maintains silence on this issue. “Caste census will reveal how many Dalits, tribals and OBCs there are in the country/state? When the government does not have this information, how will it be able to determine people’s participation? But whenever we say to conduct caste census, Modi government remains silent,” asked Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

Priyanka Gandhi also asked some questions to the BJP government:

  1. There is BJP government in Madhya Pradesh for 18 years, yet why are all the government posts in the state vacant?
  2. What is the reason for not getting employment in Madhya Pradesh?
  3. Why are the country’s assets being handed over to industrialists?

Speaking at Dhar, Priyanka Gandhi said: “This is the land of revered Sant Kamaldas ji, Raja Shri Devi Singh ji and Babasaheb ji. I feel very proud to have come to this holy land. My grandmother Indira ji, Nehru ji and Rajiv ji always respected your culture. These people never tried to change your culture. These people made similar policies for you, which helped you and you moved forward.”

Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly election is scheduled to be held on 17 November 2023 to elect all 230 members of the state’s Legislative Assembly.
