Appealing for the vote, Khagre said that Congress needs to come in order to safeguard the democracy in the nation. “It is necessary for us to win this election to protect the society, constitution, democracy and country. Earlier there was no school, no hospital or no bank here. Congress made everything in the country. But still BJP asks what Congress did,” said Khagre.

“I want to ask Modi government — The way Chhattisgarh government is helping the people, is the BJP government also doing the same in Gujarat? BJP only knows how to lie, but does not know how to work,” added Kharge.

Attacking BJP’s election symbol, i.e., lotus flower, Congress president said: You all vote on hand’s symbol. If you strengthen your hands, everything will become stronger. Our hands are working hands, not for holding flowers.”

“Today every essential thing is becoming expensive. The prices of petrol-diesel, pulses, onion, seeds, fertilizers are continuously increasing. We do not want such a government which increases inflation,” said Kharge.

The Election for poll bound Chhattisgarh are scheduled for 7th and 17th November, followed by the counting of votes and declaration of results on December 3.
