Amid the stiff competition for the West Bengal assembly elections 2021, TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee on Monday, March 29, conducted a massive roadshow in Nandigram. Addressing the rally, Banerjee charged at her competitors and asserted that those who can’t love culture, cannot do politics here.
Without naming Adhikari and allegedly accusing him of destroying a TMC office in Birulia, the Chief Minister of West Bengal added that Suvendu Adhikari is doing whatever he wants, and also contended that she can play games too. Calling herself a Royal Bengal Tiger, Mamata Banerjee said that she too will respond like lion.
“Those who can’t love culture, can’t do politics here. Nandigram witnessing hooliganism. We did meeting in Birulia, TMC office destroyed. He’s(Suvendu Adhikari) doing whatever he wants. I can play games too. I too will respond like lion. I’m Royal Bengal tiger,” West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee said in Nandigram.

In her previous visit to Nandigram, Banerjee suffered an injury to her leg during her election campaign.
Holding the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) responsible for “attacking” her in Nandigram, the Trinamool Congress supremo allegedly added that the goons from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar were brought in Bengal to attack her.
“They attacked me. No one from Nandigram attacked me but you brought goons from UP, Bihar. We want a free and fair election. If they come, women should beat them up with utensils,” West Bengal CM and TMC leader Mamata Banerjee said addressing a rally in Nandigram.

Accompanied by the party’s senior leaders, Banerjee led an eight-km ‘padayatra’ (foot march) in Nandigram, followed by a public meeting as the nation celebrates Holi. Sitting in a wheelchair, the West Bengal Chief Minister was seen greeting crowds with folded hands as party workers – carrying flags.
On Thursday, Nandigram will witness a fierce battle between Mamata Banerjee and her former aide Suvendu Adhikari, who later joined BJP.
