The bureaucrat who is a member of the state revenue board stated, “The matter pertains to forgery. Those named in the complaint include people from the top to bottom. I will not take any names.”

On being asked if the chief minister’s name is mentioned in the case, he responded with a categorical “Yes”. He further affirmed to have named IPS officer Manu Maharaj in his complaint. IPS officer Manu Maharaj is a former SSP of Patna. Later, he has been promoted to the DIG rank and at present is posted elsewhere.

The IAS officer is scheduled to retire in the next year. He had spent nearly three years in the prison as he was named in a job recruitment scam. However, in the previous year’s October Sudhir Kumar was granted bail by the Supreme Court.

He narrated, “Look at the state of rule of law in Bihar where an IAS officer is kept waiting for hours. No FIR has been lodged. I have been simply handed over a receipt of my complaint.” He added that the same thing happened when he went to Shastri Nagar police station in March, along with the same sets of documents.

Furthermore, he expressed that his efforts to gather information about the progress with regard to the previous complaint, that includes an RTI proved to be of no avail.

On the other hand, Arun Kumar, Gardanibagh SHO clarified, “The complaint has been received and sir (the IAS officer) has been given a receipt.” He also affirmed that the necessary legal actions will take place.

Arun Kumar, declined to voice that the chief minister’s name was mentioned in the complaint. He claimed, “It is a matter of investigation. We cannot divulge the content.”

Tejaswi Yadav, the RJD leader asked for a through inquiry into the allegations pointed by the IAS officer. He further urged to provide an adequate security for the IAS officer.

The RJD leader voiced, “The chief minister ought to come clean on issue. He must not shy away from getting the matter thoroughly investigated unless he has something to hide.”
