On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the goal of the central government was to create 10 lakh jobs for young people.
While addressing the Gujarat Rozgar Mela, Modi said, “Whereas, the central government is working on providing 10 lakh jobs, states and union territories are also getting associated in the campaign, and the number will rise significantly.”
Rozgar Melas, according to PM Modi, will significantly boost the campaigns for last-mile delivery and saturation of coverage of government programmes. In the upcoming months, he noted, such events will be organised at the national and state levels.
The objective was to fill 35,000 positions in the following year, according to the prime minister, who noted that 10,000 young people just received job letters in Gujarat.
He complimented digital platforms like Ojas and the elimination of the interview procedure for class 3 and 4 roles, attributing the creation of numerous employment and self-employment prospects to the state’s new industrial policy.
According to PM Modi, the “Anubandham” mobile app and website connect job seekers and employers, facilitating easy employment in the state. Similar to this, the quick recruitment strategy used by the Gujarat Public Service Commission has been praised internationally.
PM Modi emphasised the importance of young people in India’s drive to become a developed nation by 2047 and urged them to carry out their responsibilities to society and the nation. He also urged them to keep developing their knowledge and skills rather than seeing acquiring a job as the culmination of their development.
“This opens many doors for you. Doing your job with dedication will give you untold satisfaction and will open the door of growth and progress,” he said.
