PM Narendra Modi on Saturday, March 27, met the members of the Matua community, Orakandi during his two-day visit to Bangladesh. Upon his visit, PM offered prayers at Orakandi Temple in Kashiani Upazila and even addressed the Matua community in Orakandi.
“I was waiting for this opportunity for many years. During my 2015 visit to Bangladesh, I expressed my wish to visit Orakandi, and today that wish has come true,” PM said, as quoted by news agency ANI.
Concluding his address in Orakandi, Bangladesh, PM Modi met the members of the Matua community, joined by NSA Ajit Doval and Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla.

Reflecting on PM Modi’s visit at Orakandi followed by his address, Mintu Biswas, a representative of the Matua community said, “We are very happy and proud as PM Narendra Modi paid a visit here today. The entire Matua community is glad. We thank our Prime Minister for inviting Narendra Modi Ji,” reported news agency ANI.
During his address at Orakandi today, PM Modi spoke about India and Bangladesh’s aim and said that both nations want to see the world progressing through their own progress. He continued, “Both the nations want to see stability, love, and peace in the world instead of instability, terror, and unrest,” said PM Narendra Modi.
The Indian Prime Minister also expressed his views about India and Bangladesh’s fight against the coronavirus pandemic and said, “Today both nations are facing this pandemic strongly and fighting it together. India is working by considering it its duty that Made in India vaccine reaches the citizens of Bangladesh,” said PM Narendra Modi in his address at Orakandi.
