“At present, we see no security reasons for them to leave,” the Embassy told the students. It maintains constant touch with appropriate authorities for the safety and security of Indian nationals, particularly students.

However, the Embassy reported that there is some interruption in financial services in Russia as well as direct aircraft connection from Russia to India. “If students have concerns regarding these aspects and would like to travel back to India, they may consider doing so,” the Embassy adds.

Concerning academic programs, it was said that the Embassy had been notified by a number of colleges that they had already converted to an online distance learning style. Furthermore, the Embassy recommended students use their judgment in collaboration with their individual universities to choose the best course of action for continuing their academic pursuits without interruption.
