Newly elected Pak PM Shehbaz Sharif raises Kashmir issue, calls upon PM Narendra Modi for resolution

The newly-elected PM also mentioned the economic condition of Pakistan & its neighbour India.

On Monday, April 11, Shehbaz Sharif was elected as the 23rd Prime Minister of Pakistan. He won the PM’s chair with 174 votes.

Soon after gaining power PM Sharif raised the Kashmir issue at the National Assembly & announce his plans to raise the issue on International platforms. “We want good ties with India but it cannot happen without a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir question. We will raise the issue of Kashmir on every international platform,” said Sharif.

The newly-elected PM also mentioned the economic condition of Pakistan & its neighbour India. He further called upon Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi to resolve the Kashmir issue. “I’ll advise PM Modi to understand that there is poverty on both sides. I call upon Modi to come and resolve the Jammu and Kashmir issue and then let’s fight poverty together,” said Pakistan’s PM Shehbaz Sharif.

The Kashmir issue has long been going on & Pakistan’s former PM Imran Khan has also admitted that the relations between Islamabad & New Delhi are not good & can only be made better after the Kashmir issue is resolved.
