The intelligence agency circulated a terror alert across the nation, before the commencement of Jewish holidays from September 6. As per India Today, terror groups can start anti-Israel attacks similar to what they have initiated earlier.
Citizens of Israel, embassies and sites which is formulated with the Jewish religious activities, can be attacked during the holidays, reported some reliable sources. Following this update, the police authority has taken cognizance by placing its troops to ascertain security in the country.
The police administration has been commanded to amplify their reach to every possible corner, especially for Israel embassies, its consulate staff members, kosher restaurants, synagogues Chabad houses and Jewish community centres and residents across the country.
“We have shared the alert with various police forces across the country. And if required, the security of such establishments will be increased,” reported ANI quoting a government official’s statement. On January 29, a less intense IED blast took place near the Israel embassy in New Delhi. The mishap occurred at the very spot at 5.05 pm that is about 150 metres far from the Israeli embassy.
This attack brushed in wires of connectivity with one such similar instance that happened around nine years ago when an Israeli embassy personnel’s car shattered into pieces due to a magnetic device attached to the vehicle.
