Government of India provides SPG, Z plus ,Z,Y and X category security to top political leaders, bureaucrats as well as other V.I.P.s who have life threatening. Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) decides what security category should be provided to whom depending on the seriousness of the situation. Here we explained each an every security category in India.
Let us see what are SPG, Z plus, Z, Y and X category security in India.
1) SPG category :-
It is a security detail of 3000 personnel. Only the Prime Minister of India and his immediate family members residing with him in the official residence gets this security. It is the highest possible security coverage in India. To know more about SPG category security, click here.
2) Z plus security :-
It is the security detail of 55 personnel including 10 National Security Guard commandos and police personnel. To know more about Z plus category security, click here.
3) Z security:-
It is the security of 22 security personnel including 4-5 National Security Guard commandos and police personnel. Mukesh Ambani and several other V.I.P.s are provided with this category of security. To know more about Z category security, click here.
4) Y security :-

5) X security :-
