On Thursday, the Enforcement Directorate paid a surprise visit to Nagpur-based whistleblower and attorney Satish Uke’s house. He lives in the Parvati Nagar of Nagpur city.
Satish Uke came under the scanner for filing innumerable cases against BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis for a couple of years now as per police department records.
The Enforcement Directorate searched his house in the wee hours around 6:00 am with tight security of the Central Reserve Police Force in place. As per the police report, Satish Uke’s house is being searched for his alleged involvement in an illegal land grab transaction.
Interestingly Satish Uke has been filing numerous petitions against ruling party BJP leaders, more so against ex-Maharastra CM Devendra Fadnavis. One of his petitions requested criminal proceedings of Fadnavis’s alleged involvement in placing a false election affidavit, blindsiding his criminal cases.
As per Satish Uke’s petition, back in 2014, Devendra Fadnavis had presented a false affidavit keeping his criminal cases of forgery and cheating on the blind side; these criminal cases were registered against him in 1996 and 1998.
Satish Uke states that it was impossible to find CBI judge BH Loya declared dead due to a heart attack, while Satish remembers him as perfectly healthy during the court proceedings of the fake encounter case of Sohrabuddin Shaikh in 2014.
Another petition of Satish Uke was requesting the Bombay High Court’s Nagpur bench to have a detailed police probe into CBI judge Loya’s untimely and suspicious death.
