ED files first chargesheet in Mahadev Betting App Case against 14 individuals

ED has submitted its first chargesheet related to the Mahadev betting App Case.

Enforcement Directorate (ED) has submitted its first chargesheet related to the Mahadev betting app case. The chargesheet was presented before the special court for Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in Raipur.

The chargesheet names 14 individuals, including Sourabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal, who are believed to be the primary promoters of the Mahadev Book app but have denied any wrongdoing. Other individuals named in the chargesheet include Vikas Chhapariya, Sunil Dammani, Shiv Kumar Verma, Anil Dammani, Chandrabhushan Verma, Satish Chandrakar, Vishal Ahuja, Dheeraj Ahuja, Srijan Associates through Punaram Verma, Punaram Verma Shiv Kumar Verma, Yashoda Verma, and Pawan Nathani.

The main body of the chargesheet spans 197 pages, with an additional 8,800 pages of annexures. The estimated proceeds from the alleged criminal activities in this case amount to approximately Rs 6,000 crore. The ED has provisionally seized assets worth ₹41 crore believed to be proceeds from the crime.

The court is set to consider the chargesheet at the next hearing slated for November 25. Earlier reports from the ED indicated that the Mahadev Book is operated from a central office located in the UAE.

The case has garnered considerable attention due to its magnitude and the involvement of notable individuals.
