
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has tabled the Economic Survey document in Parliament today. The Economist Survey is a comprehensive review or annual report of Indian economy during the closed financial year. Prepared by the Economics Division of the Department of Economics Affairs of the Finance Ministry under the guidance of the India’s Chief Economic Advisor (CEA). This year the document was released a day ahead of the announcement of the budget, which was on July 22.
The Economic Survey 2024 said that it has witnessed core inflation remained sticky due to services inflation and a strong labour market, especially in the most Asian Economies.
As per the reports of PTI, the document tabled by the finance minister, the outlook for India’s financial sector appeared “bright.”
The economic survery has projected the growth at 6.5 – 7.0 per cent in FY 25, as per Reuters. However, the Reserve Bank of India had forecasted 7.2 per cent of growth for the current financial year ending March 2025.
