
According to data disclosed by the National Crime Records Bureau, the Rajasthan state reported the most rape incidents in both 2020 and 2021 from the entire nation (NCRB).
It demonstrates that in 2020 and 2021, respectively, Rajasthan recorded the most rape incidents, with 5,310 and 6,337.
In both 2020 and 2021, there were almost exactly the same number of rape cases in Madhya Pradesh, which placed well behind. The number of instances increased to 2,947 in 2021 from 2,339 in 2020.
The five states where the majority of the rape cases occurred in 2020 and 2021 are Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Assam.
According to NCRB data, Rajasthan reported 6,337 rape cases in 2021, making it the state where it is most risky for women to reside.
Rajasthan has the most rape cases in 2021, followed by Uttar Pradesh with 2,845 incidents, Madhya Pradesh with 2,947 crimes, and Maharashtra with 2,496 instances. Madhya Pradesh comes in second place far behind Uttar Pradesh. It is perilous for women in Assam, which is the fifth state to have 1,733 reported rape cases.
Greater than the figures for 2020, the national capital reported 1,250 rape cases in 2021. 997 rape incidents occurred in Delhi in 2020.
Rajasthan saw 5,310 rape cases in 2020, compared to Uttar Pradesh’s 2,769, Madhya Pradesh’s 2,339, Maharashtra’s 2,061 and Assam’s 1,657.
During the past two years NCRB data were withheld due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The collected data has now been released.
