Terrorists opened fire at Special Police Officer, Fayaz (SPO) and his wife at their house in Hariparigam village in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Their daughter had also sustained critical injuries after the attack that took place on Sunday. The police said that a search operation had been launched to track down the assailants.
Terrorists barged into the house of ex-SPO Fayaz Ahmad of Hariparigam, Awantipora and fired indiscriminately, according to the Kashmir Zone Police. He along with his wife and daughter received critical injuries in this terror incident.

The SPO as well his wife and daughter were rushed to a local hospital. Both the SPO and his wife Raja Begum died of injuries. Their daughter Rafia was moved to a hospital for treatment. “Later, Ahmad’s wife also succumbed to injuries at a hospital after terrorists fired at them inside their house in Awantipora, Pulwama,” said the Kashmir zone police.
According to the latest updates, the daughter of the SPO has also succumbed to bullet injuries. His son is a jawan in Territorial Army. Ahmed was threatened to resign two years back but he never did.
In the early hours of at least two Indian Air Force personnel were injured in the twin explosions that took place at the technical area of the Jammu airport manned by the IAF.
