Hyderabad: Audi driver kills 1, auto driver severely injured

The passenger of the autorickshaw died on the spot whereas the auto driver was seriously hurt.

The father of the driver tried to mislead the police but the CCTV footage from various places showed that his son was is driving the car.

The police have use the video of an incident which showed an Audi speeding on the road while speeding and hitting the auto also sending it into uncontrollable spin, the driver had severely suffered injuries and the passenger died. The father of the driver of the speeding car which killed a passenger travelling in the autorickshaw in Hyderabad on Sunday hi to put the blame on the family driver was not in the car at the time of the accident said the police on Tuesday.

Sujit Reddy, 24, Who was driving the black Audi that rammed into the autorickshaw near Inorbit Mall in Madhapur brought his family driver to the Madhapur police station and claimed he was driving the car. Besides Sujit Reddy, Raghunandan Reddy and Sujit’s friend Ashish Reddy (24) were in the car. The three passengers in the car were coming back from an all night party and all of them have been arrested by the police.

The inspector also said that the driver and the passenger of the car set in the eyewitness is a security guard and a labourer from a nearby construction site soon after the accident. The police arrested the father as well as he lied and tried to mislead said the Madhapur police station inspector P Ravindra Prasad.

Soon after the accident Sujit and Ashish remove the number plates of their car and went into hiding as the police enquiry began.

The video also had been released by the Madhapur police which shows the Audi speeding on a range range Road I’m hitting the auto sending it into an uncontrollable spin.

The inspector added that though Sujit and Ashish were caught, 24 hours after the incident they blood samples were collected and sent for a test to check if they were driving under influence.

Please had collected footage from liquor store as well as statements from the eyewitness were taken, said inspector from the mother top police station.

The two youngsters had been booked by the police under a couple of charges such as culpable homicide not amounting murder, endangering human lives, criminal intimidation, and causing disappearance of evidence under various sections of the Indian penal code and the motor vehicles act.

Whereas the father, Raghunandan Reddy had been charged with harbouring offenders, omitting information, and false personation.
