
India-China Border: China is going to deploy its unnamed helicopter drones along the LAC amid tensions with India on the border issue. According to a report published by China’s state-run Global Times, the prototype completed its first plateau flight at the Daocheng Yading Airport. This the first Helicopter drone that is specially designed to operate in plateau areas along the LAC.
This helicopter drone capable of firing and conducting reconnaissance from a high altitude has made its maiden flight at the Daocheng Yading Airport, with an elevation of 4,411 meters, Aviation Industry Corp of China (AVIC), the aircraft’s developer, said in a statement on Monday. It further said that during the 15-minute flight, the drone completed a series of tests includes climbing, hovering, rotating, and other operations maneuvers, before steadily landing, AVIC said.
This helicopter drone is especially able to relay communication in the high altitude area of Tibet Plateau. The specially designed drone can be very useful on the LAC along India’s border because of its high altitude tough conditions.
Tensions are high between India and China on the border issue. Both nations have alleged each other claimed the violation of LAC. Tensions are high after the incident of the Pangong Tso region. Both countries have deployed high artillery and machinery.
