Mr. Tyagi, who is purported to be a member of the BJP Kisan Morcha, recently got into a fight with a woman at the Grand Omaxe Society.

The woman opposed to Mr. Tyagi planting some saplings because she said it was against the law. However, Mr. Tyagi asserted that he had every right to do so.

Videos of the incident that showed Mr. Tyagi abusing the woman and hitting her quickly became popular on social media.

Days after the event, fans of Mr. Tyagi showed up at the housing complex, yelled slogans, and demanded the woman’s address.

Despite Mr. Tyagi’s claims that he belongs to the BJP’s Kisan Morcha and the images he posted of himself with senior party figures, the BJP has distanced itself from him.

In-charge of station in Noida Phase 2 Sujit Upadhyay’s involvement in the case led to his suspension. For negligence, Mr. Upadhyay was placed on leave.

Noida Police Chief Alok Kumar Singh and Noida District Magistrate Suhas LY visited the Grand Omaxe residential complex and spoke with the occupants. The Noida administration will seize Mr. Tyagi’s property, according to the District Magistrate.

Since that time, Mr. Tyagi has been on the run, and a search effort is underway to find him.

Mahesh Sharma, a BJP leader and Noida MP, questioned the police about how Mr. Tyagi’s supporters managed to infiltrate a housing community and threaten its residents.

“I am ashamed to say this is our government. Find out how did these 15 men enter the residential complex,” Mr Sharma said.

The National Commission for Women (NCW) has also demanded the arrest of Mr. Tyagi.

“NCW has also sought FIR and arrest of the accused for assaulting a woman,” the NCW tweeted.

According to the NCW, it has written to the police requesting that the woman be given police protection.
