Ajit Doval will continue to serve as National Security Adviser for third straight term

Ajit Doval on Thursday was reappointed as India’s national security advisor, the government said. The appointments committee of the cabinet also re-appointed PK Mishra as the Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Doval, who has served as Intelligence Bureau Chief and Indian Police Service officer from Kerala cadre, will be having third term as National Security Adviser. He was first appointed in 2014.
