8 arrested in Madhubani firing incident; CM Nitish Kumar says, “We will ensure fast trial”

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that we will ensure fast trial in the incident and nobody will be spared.

On Monday, April 5, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reacted to firing incident which took place in the Mahmadpur village in Madhubani district of Bihar.

Chief Minister assured fast trial in the incident and nobody will be spared. CM Nitish Kumar said that, “It is the responsibility of police to investigate the incident. Senior officials are working on it and the DGP has briefed me twice today. We will ensure fast trial in the incident and nobody will be spared.”

While Superintendent of Police (SP) of Madhubani district, Satya Prakash spoke to ANI, “Out of 10-12 named accused, 8 have been arrested. Motorcycle used has been recovered, probe is on.”

Five people including a Border Security Force (BSF) sub-inspector were killed in a clash between two groups of a village in Mahmadpur area on March 29.

Incident took place in a village of Madhubani district in which 5 people died, 1 in critical condition, in a firing on March 29. One of the deceased was a BSF sub-inspector, who was on leave for Holi. Out of 10-12 named accused, 8 have been arrested. Motorcycle used has been also recovered, probe is on.
