56 lakh people affected by floods in Assam; death toll has rises to 110

Death count due to Assam floods has soared to 110 and a total of 56,89,584 people in 30 districts of the state have been affected

The monsoons have triggered flooding in Assam, killing hundreds of people and leaving several thousand homeless. The condition scaled back after continuous destruction due to heavy rain, although almost 56,89,584 were impacted in 30 districts of the state.

Death count due to Assam floods has soared to 110 as the flood has impacted more than 56 lakh citizens up to this point.

According to the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) reports, 110 people have lost their lives and a total of 56,89,584 people in 30 districts of the state have been affected.

As per the daily flood estimates of the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), 14,205 people suffer the consequences of the flood in those three districts, while 7,009 hectares of farmland are ruined.

The overall number of people who lost their lives in the flood and landslide this year stands at 136 throughout the province.
