4 Police officers from Juhu were arrested for beating a young 24 year old to death

Four cops from Juhu police station have been arrested for killing a 24-year-old during the lockdown. The accused had filed a fake report which said that an unknown crowd had beaten the youth. The truth came out after evidence against the cops was found in the probe conducted by the committee of the Assitant Police Commissioner on the order of the court.

Raju Devendra was stopped by police in March while he was going to his relatives during the lockdown. He could not tell an appropriate reason so cops took him to the police station.

The next morning the victim was found in a nearby area and was immediately taken to hospital but was declared dead on March 29.

In August, they were suspended for distorting the image of the police force.

Now, after convicted the accused have been sent to police custody till September 15.
