
In the last 72 hours, 12 terrorists were neutralised in Kashmir in four different operations, said DG J&K Police in a statement.
Dilbagh Singh, Deputy General of Police (DG) said, “An operation at Bijbehara has concluded. 12 terrorists neutralised, so far, in four separate operations over last 72hrs comprising seven terrorists at Tral and Shopian, three terrorists of Al Badr at Haripora and now two more at Bijbehara who were working with LeT”.
Singh further added, “Terrorists eliminated in the operation at Bijbehara were responsible for the killing of Territorial Army (TA) jawan yesterday,” as quoted by ANI.

The Security forces on Sunday 11th April, eliminated two terrorists in an encounter in the Bijbehara area of Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. The encounter between terrorists and security forces in Anantnag broke out late at night on April 10.

In a statement, Dilbagh Singh, Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police said that all the terrorists were active for a long time and were wanted in many cases of terror crimes. “All the hardcore local terrorists have been neutralised,” said DGP.
Earlier an official said that a joint team of Police, Army’s 03 RR and CRPF launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on specific information about the presence of militants in the area. He said that as the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.
