IRCTC commences Rail Neer production at Vijayawada plant, boosting daily capacity to 18.40 lakh litres

Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced the commencement of commercial production at its Rail Neer plant in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, on October 14, 2024. The plant operates under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model and has a daily production capacity of 72,000 litres of packaged drinking water.

The Rail Neer produced will be distributed to various railway stations, including Vijayawada, Tenali, Guntur, Secunderabad, Hyderabad, and more. With the addition of this new plant, IRCTC’s total Rail Neer production capacity has increased to 18.40 lakh litres per day.

This move marks a significant step in enhancing the availability of Rail Neer across more railway stations, ensuring a reliable supply of safe drinking water to passengers.
