Eid is celebrated on the day when the first crescent moon is spotted. After that, people celebrate this festival by getting together with their families and friends and celebrating the evening. They exchange gifts with their loved ones. They enjoy rich non-veg dishes with delicious desserts.

1. Haleem

It is a meaty lentil soup which is cooked with broken wheat and a mix of Indian spices. This dish tastes the best when it is cooked slowly and is one of the best dishes served during the Eid feast. It can be served with mint leaves, lemon juice and fried onions.
2. Tangri Kebabs

Tangri Kebabs are very easy to make and these kebabs are loved by everyone. This is a type of appetizer and has tandoor-cooked chicken drumsticks. It is served with onion rings and lemon wedges. They are grilled over a charcoal fire, tandoori oven, regular pan or in an oven.
3. Creamy Chicken Korma

This dish is rich and creamy and it tastes the best with specific spices. It is delicious when it is eaten with buttered-naan or tandoori roti. It has a mouth-watering gravy made with onions, spices, nuts, yogurt, seeds, coconut, vegetables or meat.
4. Shahi Biryani

Eid can be considered incomplete without a biryani. It is a traditional recipe of dum-biryani. It has layers of cooked and creamy mutton and saffron rice. This finger-licking dish is made by slow-cooking rice and spices in a pot.
5. Meethi Seviyan

It is made with vermicelli and soaked in milk and cooked with dry fruits. These seviyan are further fried in ghee which gives it a brown colour. Dry fruits add a crunchy texture to the dish.
6. Sheer Khurma

It is a classic Eid dessert which is made with milk, lots of nuts, dates and sugar. One can add extra flavour to it by adding rose water and cardamom. It can be served warm or cold and is loved by people of all ages.
