A fashion trend known as “boho-chic” draws inspiration from different bohemian and hippie movements. It first appeared in the early 1990s and peaked in the 2000s. It occasionally seems to fade, but it has repeatedly reappeared in different forms.
Long flowing or tiered skirts and dresses, peasant blouses, ethnic accents like tunics or wood jewellery, embroidery or embellishment with beading, fringed handbags, and jewelled or embellished flat sandals (or flat ankle boots), which are frequently layered and colourful, are all characteristics of the boho style, which was inspired by the free spirits and hippies of the 1960s and 1970s.

Boho Styling: What to do and what not to forget

There are some of the things you need to abide by if you seriously want to have your boho moment!

There’s a narrow line between dressed like a boho-maven and looking like you haven’t showered in a year, so don’t confuse “boho-chic” with “careless hippy.”
Suede, lace and crochet are your go-to materials and don’t forget that oversized garments are the key to mastering the boho-chic aesthetic. Layer your clothing as well. For example, wear a kimono with high-waisted denim shorts and a fitted bodysuit. If you prefer wearing trousers, choose flared pants. Never undervalue the importance of accessories when wearing a bohemian look; opt for old sunglasses and tangled necklaces!
