Zerodha, one of the largest Indian stockbrokers, has astonishingly revealed the substantial assets its customers hold in their demat accounts.
Nithin Kamath, CEO of Zerodha, stated in his LinkedIn post that customers hold assets worth Rs 4.5 lakh crore in their demat accounts.
This remarkable growth not only highlights an astonishing reality but also illustrates the broad spectrum of investment opportunities available to investors, particularly younger ones. Kamath also mentioned that the COVID-19 pandemic has contributed to these surprising figures, as the post-COVID market resurgence signals a period of unprecedented growth and opportunity.
In a recent development, Zerodha CEO Nithin Kamath’s wife, Seema Patil, has courageously shared her journey battling breast cancer and the challenging experience of undergoing chemotherapy as part of her recovery. She expressed why, during the initial phase of treatment, she felt it would be preferable to die.
Patil received her breast cancer diagnosis in November 2021 and remarkably, one year later, was declared cancer-free.
“Chemotherapies are really really bad. The first time I got the chemotherapy done, it hit me, and I did not know what was happening, better to die than go through this.
“But the second time around, I decided that instead of just lying on the sofa, let me walk a little; that might change something, and it did. I recovered faster,” Patil told Dilip Kumar on “The Other Side” podcast.
