Gallantt Ispat shares surged over 11% after the company reported robust operational performance for the fourth quarter and full financial year 2026, driven by steady growth across power generation, pellets, and steel production.

The company highlighted a 14% year-on-year (YoY) rise in power generation during Q4 FY26, alongside a 9% YoY increase in steel sales, reflecting improved capacity utilisation and strong demand conditions.

Strong Growth Across Core Segments

Gallantt Ispat delivered notable growth across key production segments in Q4 FY26. Power generation rose to 2,23,789 mega units, marking a 14% YoY increase compared to the same period last year. On a full-year basis, power production stood at 8,54,292 mega units, up 6% YoY.

Pellet production emerged as a major growth driver, jumping 59% YoY in Q4 to 2,21,612 metric tonnes (MT). For FY26, pellet output surged 37% YoY to 8,18,865 MT, indicating strong capacity ramp-up.

Sponge iron production increased 38% YoY in Q4 to 2,44,555 MT, while full-year output grew 21% YoY to 9,14,749 MT. Billet production rose 9% YoY in Q4 and 3% YoY for the full year.

M.S. bar production also recorded steady growth, increasing 9% YoY in Q4 and 3% YoY in FY26.

Revenue and Sales Performance

On the sales front, billet sales rose sharply by 30% YoY in Q4 FY26, reaching 19,377 MT, while full-year sales increased 18% YoY to 81,237 MT.

M.S. bar sales grew 8% YoY in Q4 to 2,07,563 MT. However, full-year growth remained modest at 2% YoY, with total sales of 7,65,815 MT.

Overall steel production stood at 0.24 million tonnes (MT) in Q4 FY26, reflecting a 9% YoY increase. For FY26, steel production came in at 0.88 MT, up 3% YoY.

Steel sales followed a similar trend, rising 9% YoY in Q4 to 0.23 MT, while full-year sales increased 3% YoY to 0.85 MT.

Operational Efficiency Improves

Operational performance remained strong, with capacity utilisation reaching 91% in Q4 FY26 and 86% for the full year. The higher utilisation levels indicate improved efficiency and better demand visibility across segments.
