Among the top gainers in midday trade, Power Grid Corporation of India rose 0.6% to ₹305.30.
NTPC also gained 0.6%, trading at ₹377.70.
Shares of Hindustan Unilever advanced 0.4% to ₹2,355.60.
Axis Bank moved up 0.4% to ₹1,392.30.
JSW Steel added 0.2%, trading at ₹1,243.40.
Nestle India climbed 0.2% to ₹1,317.50.
Coal India gained 0.2%, quoted at ₹426.80.
Meanwhile, Max Healthcare Institute was up 0.1% at ₹1,085.10.
The gains in these counters stood out amid overall weakness in frontline indices during the session.
