Shares of Moschip Technologies Ltd rose above 6% to ₹195.75 on the National Stock Exchange on Thursday, April 16, 2026, after the company announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Vayavya Labs Private Limited.

The stock opened at ₹185.50 against a previous close of ₹184.06. It touched a day low of ₹183.59 and a day high of ₹194.00 during the session. The 52-week low stands at ₹144.62 and the 52-week high at ₹288.45. Live volume on the counter stood at 25,42,260 shares at the time of recording.

Moschip Technologies Ltd has approved the acquisition of a 73% stake in Vayavya Labs Private Limited for a total consideration of ₹245.49 crore, the company said in an exchange filing on April 16. The acquisition will be executed through a mix of cash payment of ₹148.52 crore and an equity share swap worth ₹96.97 crore, with the company issuing 50.5 lakh shares at ₹192 per share to the selling shareholders. Moschip also plans to acquire the remaining 27% stake in Vayavya Labs after March 2028, with valuation linked to the target company’s performance.

Vayavya Labs operates in the semiconductor, automotive communication, and consumer electronics segments. The company reported a provisional turnover of ₹83 crore in FY26, up from ₹64.4 crore in FY25. It is engaged in advanced engineering areas including embedded systems, virtualization, digital twin solutions, and ADAS validation, and has a global presence across the United States, Europe, Israel, and Japan.

Moschip said the acquisition will strengthen its software-led engineering capabilities, support top-line growth, and enhance EBITDA, while enabling the company to move up the value chain in product engineering solutions. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals, including those from stock exchanges and the Reserve Bank of India, along with shareholder approval. The company has scheduled an extraordinary general meeting on May 12, 2026 to seek approval for the preferential issue of shares.
