Indian equity benchmarks were trading largely flat in midday deals on February 18 (IST), with selective buying seen in metal, FMCG, financial and pharma stocks. The Nifty 50 hovered near the 25,714 mark, while the Sensex was around 83,427. Bank Nifty traded marginally higher during the session.

Amid the subdued broader market movement, several Nifty 50 constituents emerged as top gainers based on percentage gains at midday.

Leading the pack was Kwality Wall’s (India), which rose 5.0% to ₹29.3. The stock witnessed strong intraday momentum despite remaining under pressure over the past few months.

Tata Steel advanced 3.0% to ₹209.2. The stock saw buying interest during the session, making it one of the prominent gainers within the index.

ITC climbed 1.6% to ₹330.5 in midday trade. The FMCG heavyweight contributed to the index’s gains amid steady demand.

Grasim Industries gained 1.3% to ₹2,937.5, trading higher in line with selective strength across diversified industrial names.

JSW Steel rose 1.0% to ₹1,256.4, tracking gains in the broader metals pack.

Among financial stocks, Bajaj Finserv added 0.9% to ₹2,063.5, while Axis Bank moved up 0.9% to ₹1,368.8. Bajaj Finance also traded 0.7% higher at ₹1,021.7.

In the consumer segment, Tata Consumer Products gained 0.9% to ₹1,158.8.

Meanwhile, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries edged up 0.7% to ₹1,728.5, featuring among the key gainers from the pharma space.
