Shares of Suyog Telematics Ltd plunged 5% to ₹862.05 on Tuesday, hitting the lower circuit after the company reported a surprise net loss of ₹13.5 crore for the March quarter of FY25. This marks a significant reversal from a net profit of ₹15.72 crore in Q4FY24.

The steep fall in earnings came despite a 37.99% year-on-year rise in revenue from operations, which climbed to ₹62.59 crore in Q4 FY25 from ₹45.36 crore a year ago. The decline was attributed to a sharp contraction in operational margins, with EBITDA margin dropping to 13.77% from 62.85% in the same period last year.

For the full financial year, net profit declined 35.49% to ₹40.84 crore as against ₹63.31 crore in FY24, while revenue increased 23.11% to ₹205.11 crore from ₹166.61 crore.

The company’s profitability was impacted by rising expenses and lower operating efficiency, as reflected in the operating profit before depreciation and tax, which plummeted 84% to ₹4.16 crore in Q4 FY25 from ₹26.83 crore a year ago.

Investors reacted sharply to the weak bottom-line performance, sending the stock into a lower circuit in early trade. The stock had closed at ₹907.40 in the previous session.
