SpiceJet shares jump 6% after company plans to invest Rs 400 crore to bring 36 grounded planes back into service

SpiceJet shares jumped more than 6% in morning trade following a successful ₹3,000 crore fund-raising through qualified institutional placement. The company plans on investing ₹400 crore over the next two years to get 36 grounded planes back into operation.

Furthermore, the airline is leasing seven aircraft to expand its fleet and improve operational efficiency.

As of 9:36 am, SpiceJet shares were trading 6.46% higher at Rs 66.86 on the NSE.
