Sonata Software shares declined more than 3% in early trade on Thursday after the company announced its financial results for the first quarter of FY26. While the IT firm posted healthy revenue growth on a quarter-on-quarter basis, a drop in margins and operating performance weighed on investor sentiment. As of 9:56 AM, the shares were trading 3.18% lower at Rs 400.80.

In the April-June period, Sonata reported a consolidated revenue of ₹2,965 crore, up 13.3% from ₹2,617 crore in the previous quarter. However, EBITDA fell 10.7% to ₹134 crore from ₹150 crore sequentially.

Margins also came under pressure, shrinking to 4.5% from 5.7% QoQ. The company’s net profit rose marginally by 1.7% to ₹109 crore, compared to ₹108 crore in Q4 FY25.
