Indian railway sector stocks recorded sharp gains in morning trading on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, with all counters trading in positive territory.

Ircon International led the pack, rising 6.17% to ₹133.45 on BSE and 6.34% to ₹133.70 on NSE.
Texmaco Rail advanced 6.04% to ₹96.15 on BSE and 6.17% to ₹96.20 on NSE.
BEML gained 4.64% to ₹1,590.35 on BSE and 4.65% to ₹1,590.40 on NSE.
Rail Vikas Nigam rose 4.96% to ₹274.10 on BSE and 4.83% to ₹273.88 on NSE.
RailTel Corporation of India advanced 4.88% to ₹281.50 on BSE and 5.06% to ₹282.45 on NSE.
IRFC gained 4.93% to ₹97.51 on BSE and 5.03% to ₹97.60 on NSE.
RITES rose 3.89% to ₹199.20 on BSE and 4.38% to ₹200.14 on NSE.
IRCTC advanced 3.44% to ₹534.10 on BSE and 3.45% to ₹534.00 on NSE.
Container Corporation of India gained 3.23% to ₹467.85 on BSE and 3.59% to ₹469.90 on NSE.
Titagarh Railsystems rose 3.08% to ₹717.45 on BSE and 3.16% to ₹717.20 on NSE.
Benchmark indices also traded sharply higher during the session. The Nifty 50 stood at 23,921.65, up 3.45%. The S&P BSE Sensex was at 77,270.66, up 3.56% as of 10.40AM, 8th April 2026.
