Zydus Lifesciences reported a 5.9% year-on-year (YoY) increase in revenue from operations at Rs 6,573.7 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, compared to Rs 6,207 crore in the same quarter last year.

The company’s net profit for the period stood at Rs 1,466.8 crore, up 3.7% from Rs 1,419.9 crore in Q1 FY25. On a sequential basis, revenue was nearly flat, rising 0.7% from Rs 6,527.9 crore in Q4 FY25, while net profit surged 25% from Rs 1,170.9 crore in the preceding quarter.

Total income during the quarter came in at Rs 6,728.6 crore, with other income rising sharply to Rs 154.9 crore from Rs 63.2 crore in the corresponding period last year. Total expenses increased to Rs 4,808 crore from Rs 4,371 crore a year ago, driven by higher cost of materials consumed at Rs 1,218.9 crore and employee expenses at Rs 1,005.2 crore.

Profit before exceptional items, tax, and share of profit of joint ventures rose to Rs 1,920.6 crore from Rs 1,898.7 crore last year. The company incurred tax expenses of Rs 434 crore during the quarter.
