Hindalco Industries posted a strong set of standalone results for the June quarter, delivering double-digit growth across key metrics and surpassing market expectations in its aluminium and copper segments.
The company’s standalone net profit surged 26.6% year-on-year to ₹1,826 crore, compared to ₹1,471 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations rose 9.5% to ₹24,264 crore, up from ₹22,155 crore a year ago.
Operational performance was robust, with EBITDA climbing 14.2% YoY to ₹3,138 crore against ₹2,749 crore in the corresponding period last year. Operating margin improved to 12.9% from 12.4% a year earlier.
Segment-wise, the aluminium business reported EBITDA of ₹4,309 crore, comfortably beating the CNBC-TV18 poll estimate of ₹4,000 crore, while the copper segment delivered an EBITDA of ₹673 crore, also ahead of the expected ₹600 crore.
