The Indian market ended on a higher note than it began on Friday. The Indian indices remarkably moved from low to high and had Nifty end above 9,300 level. In the Q4 results today, Jagran Prakashan reported an 89 percent drop in its net profit. However, Majesco showed an increase in its net profit.
At close, Sensex was at 32,424 and Nifty reached high at 9,580. All sectoral indices closed positive, except Nifty IT and Nifty Media as they closed low at 14,011 and 1,178, respectively.

- Jagran Prakashan:
The company reported a decline in its consolidated net profit by 89 percent Year-on-Year at Rs 7.8 crore. Although this was in comparison to Rs 70.6 crore in the same quarter last fiscal. Further, the firm’s revenue showed a drop by 25 percent at Rs 445.6 crore against Rs 593 crore in Q4FY19.
- Majesco:
In its fourth-quarter ended in March the company reported its net profit high at Rs. 23.4 crore. In the same quarter last year, the firm’s net profit was at Rs 8.5 crore. Moreover, the revenue increased 5.8 percent at Rs 276.7 Year-on-Year against Rs 261.5 crore in Q4FY19. At the end of today’s trading session, the company’s shares closed up by 2 percent at 18,349 in the NSE.
- Sundaram-Clayton:
The firm reported a 23 percent rise in its standalone profits for the fourth quarter ended in March at Rs. 62.05 crore. The company had recorded the net profit at Rs. 50.27 crore in the same quarter last fiscal. The total income for the full financial year, the company stated a drop at Rs. 1,424 crore compared to Rs. 1,933 crore in the last year.
